Carol Germain Solazzo

Carol Germain Solazzo, of Oswego, passed away October 24, 2008 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of Edward Germain and Margaurite Germain Regan.

She worked at the Pontiac Hotel, Jack & Benny’s Restaurant, Carol’s Kitchen and Carol’s Catering Service.

She was a member of the St. Louis’ Choir and American Legion Ladies Aux. for 40 years. She was president of the Aux. from 1986-1989. She also held the offices through the years of 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Historian and Color Bear.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Joseph Solazzo Jr., six children, Joseph (Kathleen) Solazzo III, Carol (Dave) Kavanaugh, Anthony (Cynthia) Solazzo, Terrance Solazzo, Concetta (Mike) Foster and Christine (Steve) Hutchinson; a sister, Virginia Solazzo and brother and sister-in-law, James (Ruth) Germain and Barbara Germain; grandchildren, Joseph Solazzo 4th, Jessica Solazzo, Jennifer Solazzo, Joshua Solazzo, Steven Hutchinson, Dustin Kavanaugh, Koncetta Kavanaugh, John Solazzo Foster, Tay Solazzo and Samantha Hutchinson.

She was predeceased by her sister Jane Scaccia and her brother John Germain.

Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours 4-7p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
