Cast Announced for Oswego High’s ‘Damn Yankees’

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego High School Drama Club presents “Damn Yankees” in the Robinson-Faust Theatre of the Performing Arts on February 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m.

As part of Oswego High School’s first themed season, “A Season to Die For,” drama club students and the production staff that brought you “Pippin,” “Evita,” and “The Secret Garden” are putting together their first-ever sports-themed musical comedy.

In this Faustian musical comedy, Joe Boyd trades his soul to Mr. Applegate, the Devil, for a shot at leading his favorite team to victory against the New York Yankees.

Applegate strikes a deal with Joe and gives him until the final game of the season to call it off; if he plays in the final game then his soul will forever belong to Applegate.

With classic musical theatre numbers such as “Whatever Lola Wants,” “Shoeless Joe From Hannibal, Mo” and the evergreen “Heart,” follow Joe’s quest to save his team and his soul.

The role of young Joe Hardy is played by Kyle Osmun while Doug Schneider is Applegate.

Other lead performers include Nolan Callahan (Joe Boyd), Olivia Rando (Meg Boyd, his wife), Olivia Flint (Lola), Rachel Leotta (Gloria Thorpe), Lauren Boshart (Sister), and Brynn Adner (Doris).

The ensemble of Oswego High School students includes Nathaniel Ahart, Ana Alcasid, Emily Alnutt, Haley Baker, Will Bandla, Tia Bevacqua, Andrew Bornheimer, Mary Bornheimer, Emily Bradshaw, Trevor Bracy, Kate Breezee, Allen Brooks, Crystal Brooks, Raphah Carroll, Alyssa Cheely, Ally Choate, Hayley Domicolo, Makayla Fragale, Marie Foti, Matt Gill, Taylor Green, Michela Griffith, Leah Horn, Lauren Jones, Kaitlyn Kelly, Mya Kinder, Alyssa Lee, Jack Lee, Leah Mullen, Emily Oldenburg, Sierra Palmer, Laurel Plunkett, Ellie Richmond, Jeremy Ruotolo, Katt Ruotolo, Connor Shene, Katie Shene, Sam Spaulding, John Syrell, Leah Taylor, Dan Wallace, Destiny Whitney, Trent Wilkinson and Eric Young.
