The Oswego Players has announced a number of cast changes for the up-coming reprise production of the Neil Simon comedy, “Rumors”

Two of the roles previously announced will be filled by Chris Bixler and Nicky Snow . The rest of the cast will be filled out by Oswego Players veterans Nelson Metz and Sherrie Baker; Kelly Mahon and Jim McGann; Matt Lamphere and Jennie Snow; and Laura Lowerie and Peter Mahon.

The story of the play follows four affluent couples who gather in the posh suburban residence of another couple for a dinner party celebrating their host’s tenth anniversary. When they arrive, they discover the hostess is missing, and the host – the deputy mayor of New York City – has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone’s upper class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and the media.

The show will be directed by Inez Manor Parker assisted by Erin McIntosh.
“Rumors” will be presented on the evenings of Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sunday February 14 at 2 p.m. The show will be performed at the Francis Marion Brown Theater located in The Civic arts Center Building at Fort Ontario Park in Oswego.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $25 with show only tickets available at $10.

Reservations can be made by calling the Oswego Players box office at 343-5138. The show is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
