Casting Changes Announced for The Oswego Players Dinner Show Production of the Neil Simon Comedy “Rumors”

The Oswego Players has announced a number of cast changes for the up- coming Dinner theater production of the Neil Simon comedy, “Rumors”

Three of the roles previously announced will be filled by Don Vanouse, Erin McIntrosh and Mark Muribito . The rest of the cast will be filled out by Oswego Players veterans Nelson Metz and Sherrie Baker; Kelly Mahon and Jim McGann; Matt Lamphere and Jennie Snow; and Laura Lowerie and Peter Mahon.

The story of the play follows four affluent couples who gather in the posh suburban residence of another couple for a dinner party celebrating their host’s tenth anniversary. When they arrive, they discover the hostess is missing, and the host – the deputy mayor of New York City has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone’s upper class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and the media.

The show will be directed by Inez Manor Parker assited by Erin and Shannon McIntosh.

“Rumors” will be presented in dinner theater format on the evenings of Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 with dinner being served at 630 p.m. and the show starting at 7:30 p.m. The show will be performed at the Church of the Resurrection located at 120 West Fifth Street in Oswego. The menu will consist of a traditional ham and scalloped potato church dinner served family style.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $25 with show only tickets available at $10.
