Catholic Charities’ Family Fall Festival Set Saturday

Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s will host its first-ever Family Fall Festival on Saturday at Catholic Charities’ CYO Center, 365 W. First St. Preparing for the event are Mia Lynn Bennett (left) and Brandi Freeman.The Family Fun Festival will feature a variety of fall themed games and activities including: pumpkin bowling, pumpkin ring toss, a bounce house, and plenty of arts and crafts projects. Refreshments such as apple cider, donuts and popcorn will also be available.

Drilling Completed for SUNY Oswego’s 240-well Geothermal Field

SUNY Oswego's geothermal project now has 240 wells -- like the ones protruding at left and in the background. Drilling wrapped up Oct. 12 for the venture that will help heat and cool the college's new Science and Engineering Innovation Corridor. From left are drill supervisor Ryan Baye of American Auger & Ditching Co. Inc. of Constantia, subcontractor to FAHS Construction Group of Binghamton for the geothermal work; Mark Kentile, regional director of SUNY Construction Fund, providing the financing for the sciences project; and Allen Bradberry of SUNY Oswego Facilities Design and Construction.Contractors for SUNY Oswego reached a milestone Oct. 12 when they drilled the 240th and final geothermal well to help heat and cool the new Science and Engineering Innovation Corridor.

Fulton Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Home Health Aides

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced Angela Cimilluca, a Public Health Coordinator for Oswego County.  Angela described the intensive and extensive care their clients can receive from Home Health Aides.  This care is based upon referrals and helps all those with injuries or an illness that want to remain in their homes.  The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced Angela Cimilluca, a Public Health Coordinator for Oswego County.
