Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier announced that Services to Aid Families Community Response Coordinator Stacie France is the recipient of the agency’s prestigious Amelia Whelahan Leadership Award. The seminar is an overview of Medicare for current and new Medicare recipients.

The Oswego County Legislature designated April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month to improve understanding, change behaviors, challenge victim-blaming attitudes, respect personal boundaries, and practice healthy communication with children. Sexual violence is widespread and impacts entire communities.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented a certificate to Paul Stewart in recognition of his work with the Oswego Renaissance Association. In April 2013, the ORA was founded to promote the development, restoration, and preservation of Oswego’s neighborhoods.
