OSWEGO, NY – Plans are under way for Catholic Charities of Oswego County inaugural Fall Gala.
To be held Sept. 16 at the American Foundry, Catholic Charities’ Fall Gala promises to be one of the premier events of the season.
A fundraiser to help support the many human services programs that the agency offers, Catholic Charities’ Fall Gala offers those attending a elegant evening of fine food and live entertainment.
Following a dinner choice of either beef tenderloin and shrimp or veggie primavera, the evening will feature music from the Cortini Brothers Jazz Band with Joanna Jewett and Tommy Ciappa on vocals and a special performance from nationally known comedian, Brandon Dyer. Known for his original, clever, and edgy comedy, Dyer has delighted audiences throughout the country with a comedic performance that is suitable for all audiences. In addition to the dinner and entertainment there will also be a silent auction with a limited number of select items to bid on.
Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, executive director of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, is excited about the event and is looking forward to welcoming community members. “Our planning committee, chaired by Nancy Henderson, has worked closely with Mary Ciappa of the American Foundry and Joe Cortini to ensure that our Fall Gala will be a night to remember,” she said.
“We are thrilled to welcome Comedian, Bradon Dyer and the Cortini Brothers Jazz Band with Joanna Jewett and Tommy Ciappa to this event. We are looking forward to an enjoyable evening of entertainment that will be fun for all that attend and will provide much needed support to the services we provide to those in need throughout Oswego County regardless of their religious affiliation,” she added.
All proceeds from Catholic Charities’ Inaugural Fall Gala will be used to help the agency meet the growing demand on its food pantry and the other programs that it offers for families and individuals in Oswego County.
