FULTON, NY – Staff and volunteers at Catholic Charities of Oswego County were busy preparing for the annual Thanksgiving food basket giveaway. Despite a downturn in donations Catholic Charities’ food pantry will provide more than 150 families with all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving meal courtesy.
“It is a very challenging year,†said Judy Egan, coordinator of Catholic Charities’ Emergency Services Program. “With the decrease in donations we were not able to distribute as many baskets as we would have liked to. Looking ahead to our Christmas basket distribution, I encourage those who are able to consider donating food items or children’s toys for our Let’s Give For A Kid program as we are receiving a large amount of requests this holiday season and we would like to help as many families as possible.â€ÂÂ
