OSWEGO, NY – Catholic Charities of Oswego County invites you to join them for an afternoon of food, fun and friendly competition that will benefit area youth and help feed those in need.
On Aug. 13 and 14, beginning at 10 a.m. each day, rain or shine, Cheap Seats Sports Bar & Grille will host a co-ed volleyball tournament to benefit two of Catholic Charities’ most in-demand programs, its food pantry and CYO. The tournament will pit 12 teams, 6 players per team, in a round-robin tournament with the opportunity to win prizes of $250 for first place and $150 for second place. To add to the fun there will be a bag auction and a 50 / 50 drawing. Lee Victory, owner of Cheap Seats Sports Bar, will also donate 20 % of all food and beverage sales during the tournament to Catholic Charities of Oswego County.
In addition to the donation from Cheap Seats Sports Bar & Grille, all proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Charities’ food pantry, which served more than 13,000 people and provided more than 77,000 meals last year, and the CYO, which offers a wide variety of recreational and educational programs for area youth including its popular mentoring program for elementary and high school students.
Sponsored by Alliance Bank, Burritt Motors, and Cheap Seats Sports Bar & Grille, Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament fundraiser will be held at Cheap Seats Sports Bar & Grille, at 6 Hillside Ave.
