Fulton, NY – Stacie Roberts, coordinator of Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO program, announced that Dr. Walter Bozek, DDS of Oswego and Hair Hut in Fulton will be a part of the CYO Back to School Youth Fair.
Dr. Bozek will be providing youth in attendance with complimentary dental screenings that will fulfill NYS requirements and educational materials.
Additionally, Chandra Carvey, stylist and owner of Hair Hut Salon & Spa in Fulton, and her staff, along with Donna Gratton, owner of the Phoenix Barber Shop, will offer complimentary hair cuts for youth.
“We are happy to add these professionals to our list of participants,” said Roberts. “It’s a great opportunity for our youth to receive these free services and we are appreciate that these community minded professionals are donating their time and talents to the benefit of our youth.”
Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Back to School Youth Fair, presented in collaboration with the Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County, will be held Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fulton War Memorial, 609 Broadway.
Open to all Oswego County youth and families, the Back to School Youth Fair will feature presentations and activities that will help youth get the school year off to a fun, healthy start.
Roberts added that a number of agencies and organizations that serve Oswego County youth would be offering presentations and information about their services and how they benefit the youth of Oswego County. The event will also feature a variety of family friendly activities as well as door prizes, giveaways, free school supplies and more.
Additionally, Roberts said that there would be door prizes, giveaways and more.
“We invite youth from throughout Oswego County to join us for this fun and informative event. It’s a great way to start the school year!” said Roberts.
Catholic Charities of Oswego County serves all people in need regardless of their religious affiliation.
Primary funding sources for Catholic Charities of Oswego County programs are the United Way of Greater Oswego County, the Diocesan Hope Appeal, the County of Oswego, NYS Office of Children and Family Services through Oswego City/County Youth Bureau, and private donations by individuals and local companies and organizations.
