The Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is offering a three-day, two-night bus excursion to Washington, D.C. from April 24 to 26.
Travelers will tour the National Air Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center on route to the Cambria Suites Hotel, located at the New City Market at O lifestyle center.
This newly built hotel is a few short blocks from the Metro and features a courtyard fire pit on the rooftop patio with lounge seating, along with a state-of-the-art gym and pool.
Travelers are free to plan the remainder of their weekend.
Some DC highlights include the White House, Capitol Hill, National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, World War II, Korean and Vietnam War Memorials, the National Gallery of Art, Botanical Garden, and Washington National Cathedral.
Most attractions are free of charge and within easy walking distance of one another.
The trip will depart from the Auburn campus at 6 a.m. on Friday and the return trip will leave mid-afternoon on Sunday and arrive in Auburn approximately 11p.m.
The cost of $298 per person includes the two-night hotel stay (based on double occupancy), round-trip motor coach and the Air Space Museum tour.
This trip, offered by the Alumni Association, is open to the public; age restrictions may apply.
