Celebrating 60 years of Little League Baseball in Oswego

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Little League is celebrating 60 years of baseball in Oswego this year.

The milestone will be marked with a parade and ceremony on Saturday June 6 at noon.

The parade will include all Little League teams, manager and coaches, starting at the Losurdo Field and finishing at the concession stand at the Little League fields at Fort Ontario.

The parade will be led by the Oswego City Police and Fire departments.

There will be a short ceremony, which will include Mayor Tom Gillen, Little League president Eben Norfleet, a representative from the police department and Rev Roger Martin from Faith United Church.

This year more than 300 children and young people, volunteer coaches, managers and board members from Oswego are involved in Little League from T-Ball to traveling teams.
