Census Assistance Office Opens In Oswego

The U.S. Census Bureau has opened an office to assist individuals in completing their 2010 Questionnaire. The office, located at 9 Fourth Avenue, Oswego home of ARISE is open each Tuesday and Thursday from noon until 3PM through April 15th.

Anyone needing assistance, wishing to ask a question or requiring help with a language other than English is welcome to use this free service. Walk ins are welcome. There is no need to make an appointment. Confidentiality is assured.

The census bureau needs an accurate count of people so that New York can get funding for child care programs, social service programs, etc. One can also go to the website of The U.S. Census Bureau to see a sample of the census or to be more informed of its purpose. You can access the site by going to www.2010census.gov at any time.
