Central Square School District Develops New Logo To Promote Unity

As one of the most geographically expansive school districts in the area, Central Square School District’s Superintendent Parent Council decided to challenge themselves to bring the community together and promote district unity through the development of a new district logo.

Members of the Superintendent Parent Council Patti Stringer, Stacy Gerard, Laura Godici and Laura Baum proudly display the lawn sign and banner that were created to show Redhawk Pride community-wide. The Central Square School District’s new logo “As One We Rise, Together We Soar,” represents a collaboration among the entire district, to promote a message of inspiration and unity.

Working together with the Student Leadership Task Force, high school students were given the opportunity to create a new Central Square School District logo.

From the myriad of ideas and feedback, they created several new slogans, to be paired with a Redhawks logo to help achieve this goal. Once the top three designs were identified, the entire student body was given the opportunity to vote for their favorite.

“As One We Rise, Together We Soar,” was the overall favorite and has been adopted district-wide.

The idea is to promote the notion that every single building within the district is all part of one Redhawk heart, beating strong throughout the county. With this concept in mind, it is by rising together as one that we, as both a school district and community, can truly soar.

The SPC is made up of the PTO and PTA presidents of all Central Square School District buildings and the district superintendent.

They meet once a month and work together to provide a reciprocal forum of local opportunities and challenges. Interim District Superintendent, Thomas Colabufo, works closely with the SPC and is very proud of this new logo and the collaboration that brought it to life.

Redhawks lawn signs and banners are also available to further display Central Square School District Redhawk pride.

For anyone interested in purchasing a yard sign, they are available through all building PTO and PTA groups.

Banners can be ordered by contacting Carolyn Smith at [email protected]
