OSWEGO – Oswego County Legislature Chairman Kevin Gardner (District 13, New Haven) discussed several new government initiatives in his 2015 State of the County Address.
Among the projects on tap are the Community Health and Poverty Reduction Task Force, improvements at Camp Zerbe, accommodations for the new second Family Court judge, and applications for the Great Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary and Governor Cuomo’s Upstate Revitalization Plan. Legislature
Chairman Gardner said the county continues to cope with the fact that more than 80 percent of the county budget is spent on unfunded mandates, and that property owners pay all of their taxes toward unfunded mandates.
