Chamber Kicks Off 2017 Farmers’ Markets With More Local Vendors, New Fulton Location

OSWEGO, NY – This week marks the official start of the Greater Oswego – Fulton Chamber of Commerce Farmers’ Markets in Oswego and Fulton.

The markets are presented by Oswego Health and will run 20 weeks through mid-October.

The Oswego market will operate from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays starting May 25 at West First Street.

The Fulton market will operate from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays starting May 27 at Bull Head Point in Fulton.

“Oswego Health is excited to present this year’s farmers’ markets in Oswego and Fulton, working alongside the chamber to provide healthy, family focused programming throughout the summer,” said Marion Ciciarelli, Oswego Health Public Relations Director. “Supporting the farmers’ markets is part of our commitment to advancing the health and wellbeing of our community and we look forward to being a part of this great program.”

“The farmers’ markets are an important annual tradition in our community and we are excited to showcase even more locally-grown produce and local products this year,” said Katie Toomey, executive director of the chamber. “We have worked really hard to enhance the experience for shoppers by bringing in new vendors and making the markets more scenic and accessible.”

New features of the markets include:

New location for the Fulton market; now at Bull Head Point.

Extended Centro services beginning June 26.
