Charles E. Riley Sixth Grades Celebrate Success

OSWEGO, NY – The Charles E. Riley Elementary School sixth grade honors assembly provided the opportunity to recognize those students moving on to the Oswego Middle School while at the same time congratulating them for their academic effort.

Along with the presentation of certificates were several individual awards including the “Principal’s American Citizenship Award” presented by CER Principal  Dr. Linda Doty to Mckenzie LaDue.

The Charles E. Riley Elementary School recently conducted its sixth grade ceremonies  and McKenzie LaDue received the “Principal’s American Citizenship Award” while Grace Hibbert (right) was the recipient of the “Triple ‘C’ Award” and  the yearbook was dedicated to CER custodian Ray Hibbert, Grace’s grandfather.

Dr. Doty also presented a this year’s Triple “C” Award from the state attorney general for “character, courage and commitment” to Grace Hibbert.

Several sixth graders were also recognized with the Presidential Awards for Excellence and received a certificate signed by President Barack Obama.

Those earning the excellence honors included Jade Ballard, Joel Caster, Grace Hibbert, Turner McElroy, Leanna Restani, Noah Brancato, Faith Hannock, McKenzie LaDue, Laurel Plunkett and Ryan Tharrett.

Students receiving the “achievement” award included Madelyn Cortright, Caitlyn Daniels, Leticia Davis, Nicholas Hanna, Megan Lagoe, Maxwell Mays, Sierra Palmer, Isabella Sabatini, Tatyana Cummins, Brenden Davies, Kaitlyn Grant, Noah Hardter, Evan Lupien, Miranda Miller, Brett Rhoades and Eric Wallace.

A large sixth grade class was recognized by Principal Dr. Doty as well as their teachers Joan Dain, Cindy Farnsworth and Kate McCrobie.

This year’s students advancing to Oswego Middle School are Katalyna-Marie Aguzar, Mason Arnesen, Jade Ballard, Ada Bartlett, Rebecca Bivens, Kevin Blum, Tegan Boyzuck, Noah Brancato, Cameron Briglin, Kayla Brown, Mason Bruce, Allysa Burdick, Trevor Burdick, Cori Buske, Hannah Cali, Joel Caster, Linwei Chen, Madelyne Cortright, Aleksandra Cummins, Tatyana Cummins, Caitlyn Daniels, Brenden Davies, Leticia Davis and Karlee DeGroff.

Also moving on are  Mark DiGregorio III, Sabrina Fredenburg, Valeria Gamino, Kaitlyn Grant, Nicholas Hanna, Faith Hannock, Noah Hardter, Grace Hibbert, Jacob Hibbert, Jessica Hill, Katherine Hill, Timothy Hubbard II, Derek Kuriger, McKenzie LaDue, Megan Lagoe,  Connor Loadwick, Evan Lupien, Maxwell Mays, Chelsea Mazzoli, Turner McElroy and Juan Melendez.
