OSWEGO TOWN, NY – Charles Robert Spanfelner, 87, a resident of County Route. 20 in the Town of Oswego, passed away Thursday Aug. 7, 2008, at his home, among his family.
He was the son of the late John and Grace (Kidd) Spanfelner.
He served in the US Air Force during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foreman with the Oberdorfer Co. and with Oswego Castings in Oswego.
ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œBobÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â was an avid golfer and gardener, and shared the fruits of his labor with many people.
He was the husband of the late Doris (Lane) Spanfelner.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at his home, 539 County Route 20, in the Town of Oswego.
