OSWEGO, NY – Atom Avery, owner of 5 Points Wine & Liquor in Oswego, met with GS Steamers Bar & Grill Restaurant Manager Anne Taverni (left) and Eagle Beverage Craft Beer, Wine and Spirits Manager Jacki Hannon to sample one of the many food and beverage pairings that will be offered at Oswego County Opportunities “Giving Thanks” fundraiser.

GS Steamers Bar and Grill will be serving a Margherita Flatbread that will be paired with Rapariga Da Quinta White Blend Portuguese wine and a Goose Island IPA.

OCO’s “Giving Thanks” will be held November 2 from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center in Oswego.

Giving Thanks will host more than a dozen food stations, each offering a featured menu item from the area’s finest restaurants and eateries, paired with a complementary wine and beer.

Entertainment for the evening, sponsored by Avery, will be singer / songwriter Gary Carpentier, a featured contestant on the NBC series “The Voice.”

Proceeds will be used in support of OCO’s “Success4Families” campaign, which will help fund a variety of services that feed, clothe and house families in need as well as empower, support and equip families for success.

Tickets are $35 per person in advance, $40 at the door, and include food, refreshments, and beer and wine tastings.
