Submitted by Friends of Our Troops Headquarters
As we prepare for upcoming Christmas and Valentine mail collections, Friends of Our Troops Headquarters would like to extend special thanks to Cherie King of Oswego, who participated in the most recent campaign. Ms. King received a certificate and button for preparing 50 pieces of mail.
Cards and letters are received from all across the nation, mixed thoroughly, then divvied up into hundreds of packages, both large and small, to be sent to military units across the U.S. and around the world.
As the continuation of the Vietnam Mail Call project which was launched in 1965, this mail has been boosting the morale of our men and women in uniform for almost a half-century.
Anyone who would like to know how to join the Fan Mail for the Troops campaign can receive complete information and instructions by sending their name and mailing address to Friends of Our Troops, P.O. Box 65408, Fayetteville, NC 28306. The troops will thank you, and so do we.
