The retirees were honored with a reception on CiTi’s main campus in Mexico, where several honorees, other CiTi employees, board members and guests reflected on the vast educational careers each retiree had.

CiTi Assistant Superintendent for Personnel Mark LaFountain expressed his appreciation for their dedication to one another, CiTi as a whole and most importantly, the students.

“What we have received in service, skill or heart is far more than what you could be compensated for,” he said. “You have positively altered a student’s vision.”

The 2018 CiTi retirees are:

school counselor Robert (Doc) Nelson, teen health issues educator Mary Lichtenstein, senior typist Becky Pemberton, custodial worker Linda Prentice, assistant director of adult education Cynthia Proietti, teaching assistants: Dawn Butler, Mary Quade, Gina Spilman and Susan Walsh; and teachers: Kathleen Agugliaro, Marian Becker, John DeSantis, Keith (K.C.)
