MEXICO – Hundreds of sophomores from throughout Oswego County recently gathered together at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation during the annual Career and Technical Education 10th grade orientation.
Participating students were invited to tour two programs of interest to them and learned about curriculum and potential career opportunities.
Students were also invited to participate in a hands-on demonstration, such as making omelets in Culinary Arts or repairing drywall in Construction Technology.
This year’s event also served as an opportunity for CiTi to showcase its two newest programs: Computer Coding and Industrial Electrical Technologies.
These programs were created through the desired need from industry partners.
“By adding these programs, CiTi is showing its commitment to 21st century learning,” said Business Education Liasion Garrette Weiss.
