PHOENIX, NY – Clyde Arthur Riddell Jr., 79, of Phoenix, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center Syracuse, NY, on Sunday March 9, 2014.
He was born to his late parents, Isabella (Kiley) and Clyde Arthur Riddell Sr. on July 10, 1934.
A veteran, he proudly with the US Navy from 1952-55 both foreign and stateside.
Clyde was a steelworker, machinist, for more than 40 years with Crucible Steel Co., Solvay.
He was predecease by his second wife, Edna (Emlaw) Riddell.
Surviving are his children, Thomas Riddell, Ronald Green, Cynthia (John) Pileski, Timothy (Gale) Riddell, Steven Riddell and Shann (Trina) Riddell; his children’s mothers, Karen and Ruth; his step-children, Cary (Joanne) Gorton, Daphne (Jim) Jock and Debbie (Mark) Trevett; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Parsons and Donna Fish; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and friends.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, followed by the funeral service at 8:05 p.m. with the Rev. Terry Millbyer officiating.
US Navy military honors will be part of the tribute paid Mr. Riddell and included in the funeral service in the funeral home.
