The holiday open house will continue November 23 from noon to 3 p.m. at CNY Arts Center’s new facility located on the Cayuga Community College campus at River Glen Plaza.

Guests will enjoy touring the new combined gallery and theatre facility and take home a handmade ornament in a tradition begun with the very first holiday open house. Holiday refreshments will be provided by Treat Me Sweet.

Author Spotlight will follow the open house at 3 p.m. featuring newly published author Diane Sokolowski.

Her new book entitled “So, I Wanted to run a Bed and Breakfast (was I crazy?)”  is based on her experiences running a bed and breakfast inn.

An author interview will be followed by questions and samples of her bed and breakfast menus.

Signed copies of the book will also be available for purchase featured alongside her artwork.

After taking classes through the Art Center, she became hooked on oil painting and has been painting for just more than a year. Along with desserts catering through her business Treat Me Sweet, and book writing, she now has a painting studio in her home.

She believes it is never too late to learn something new and credits CNY Arts Center with finding a new passion in her life.
