FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center promotes all arts for all ages with Chef Arty ready for Culinary Arts fun along with Dance Arty and Arty “Van Gogh.”
These and more colorful variations of the iconic logo are just part of the décor for the new Arts Center opening this Sunday at the Park Street entrance to State Street Methodist Church, 357 State St.
From 2-6 p.m. Sunday, the public is invited to tour the new facility which members have been sprucing up and painting in anticipation of the long-awaited home for arts programming.
Visitors to the open house will find information about classes being organized, see samples of art and meet instructors.
Arty’s Day Camp will be highlighted with information about the week long program in July and August as well as information on all the other events and activities planned for the organization.
“We will put our best foot forward. Everything we’ve worked toward this first year will be seen in the exciting culmination of this new home. We can’t wait to share the things we’re planning for the coming months,” said Nancy Fox, president of the organization. “We want CNY Arts Center to become a center for involvement and sharing creative ideas, education in all the arts, and always striving for economic revitalization through the Center’s activities in the arts.”
The group also seeks donations for supplies and furnishings.
“Just like setting up housekeeping in any new home for the first time, we have to stock the cupboards with at least paint and pencils and paper towels,” Fox continued. “We put together a Wish List of donations, materials, furnishings, equipment, and other things that will help us provide a comprehensive program for the region. We are grateful for every contribution.”
The wish list along with more information about the organization and full details on all events can be found on the group’s web site at www.cnyartscenter.com
