CNY Arts Center Seeks Halloween Costume donations

FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center is seeking donations of gently used Halloween costumes from the community in exchange for a $2 coupon toward the purchase of any other donated costume at its fourth annual Arts Market, September 13 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the former Nestles parking lot on Fay Street.

“Kids always want a new costume every Halloween,” said Nancy Fox, director. “With the holiday just around the corner, we saw this as a perfect addition to our Arts Market. Parents can donate new or used costumes with lots of good wear still in them and we’ll give them a $2 coupon to spend toward a replacement costume. They will be supporting a good cause for continued children’s programming at CNY Arts Center while saving on full price purchase of a costume their child may wear only once. Partnering with parents to expand options for kids while saving money is something we all appreciate.”

“We’re planning to sort through our own theatre costumes and see what we can add to the sale,” Fox continued.” We need to do fall cleaning just like everyone else and we’ll be sorting for vintage costumes, hats, shoes, and maybe even some prop pieces. Who knows what we’ll end up with?”

To donate clean, used or new costumes, please drop off bagged costumes at Arts in the HeArt Gallery at 47 S. First St.

Donors will receive a coupon good for use on the day of the Arts Market.
