CNY Arts Center Welcomes Jason Bean

FULTON, NY – Recording Artist Jason Bean will make his CNY Arts Center debut at the next Dessert Theatre September 26 at 8 p.m.

The singer – songwriter will entertain with an evening of original music from his albums at the Center located at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga Community College campus.

The new Dessert Theatre Series at the center replaces traditional dinner theatre elements with a buffet of desserts and cabaret, creating a unique and casual entertainment experience.

Bean was born and raised in Central New York.

Originally from Phoenix, he is currently based in Syracuse while performing throughout the Northeast.

His original music spreads more than 12 years, four albums, and two Syracuse Area Music Award nominations.

Locally he has appeared on stages at the New York State Fair, the Taste of Syracuse, Jamesville’s Balloonfest, Rochester’s Park Ave Fest and more.

He has been seen in’s “Music Notes” artist spotlight series, heard on local radio stations 93Q, TK99 and The Rebel all while playing and singing at countless coffeehouses, bars and clubs.

His fifth album of all original music is currently in production to be released in the fall of 2015.

He also occasionally performs onstage with local theatre companies, most recently seen in Encore Presentations Songs for a New World in Baldwinsville.

CNY Arts Center’s Dessert Theatre series, combining dessert and a show, returns several times throughout the year to spotlight local musicians or intimate plays along with a buffet of luscious desserts.

Smaller shows are a great alternative to full scale productions and give community members a chance to access theatre and dessert, a perfect date night or after dinner experience.

Themed desserts are served each performance and dessert is included in the ticket price.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m.
