FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center is partnering with local author Jim Farfaglia to bring back its Writers’ Café, a social gathering for local writers.
Writers’ Café will be held once a month at CNY Arts Center, starting January 25 at 6 p.m.
The Arts Center is located at River Glen Plaza on the CCC Fulton Campus.
The café offers a unique place for local writers to get together and share their work and ideas about writing.
The informal monthly event is for aspiring writers of all ages, and accommodates all genres. No registration required. Refreshments will be available and donations will be appreciated.
“We’re excited to offer writers a place where they can relax, socialize, and get to know other authors in their community,” said Nancy Fox, director at CNY Arts Center. “It really starts there. Getting involved in community activities will give aspiring authors and professionals a place to network. That’s very important in entering the world as an artist today. You need those connections.”
Farfaglia will facilitate the Writers’ Café.
He has had a love for poetry and literature his entire life.
In 2011, after a career in teaching and working in the human services field, he immersed himself in the writing world.
He is the author of several books including Country Boy, a collection of poems chronicling his childhood.
He also enjoys using his experience as a group facilitator by leading writing groups for adults.
