COCOAA to Host Free Responsible Server Training

OSWEGO, NY – Due to the generosity of the Shineman Foundation, The County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions (COCOAA) will be holding various Responsible Server Trainings throughout Oswego County.

The training includes two formats; one for on-premise establishments and the second for off-premise retail locations.

Responsible Server Training is designed to teach individuals who sell or serve alcoholic beverages how to do so responsibly.

It educates participants in the effects of alcohol on the consumer and the various laws associated with selling and serving.

The training will aid in identification of fake ids as well as preventing and  handling alcohol related incidents.

The first class is scheduled October 14 from noon – 3 p.m.

RST is a GCASA program certified by the New York State Liquor Authority.

COCOAA will hold more trainings in the months to come.

This upcoming class is currently at full capacity.

If you or your business is interested in being trained in responsible server or hosting a training please contact Karyn Grow or Sarah Hartman at 315-342-2370.
