Coleman invites community to Thursday open house

OSWEGO, NY – Family court judge candidate Lou Anne Rucynski Coleman will welcome community members to an open house on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at her campaign headquarters, 7 W. Bridge St.

The location, in the former King Arthur’s restaurant, will allow voters to enjoy the Oswego Farmers’ Market in addition to meeting and learning more about the candidate.

Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

The downtown Oswego campaign headquarters will continue to be open on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. until the election, welcoming voters who would like to learn more about Coleman, volunteers interested in helping the campaign and supporters who would like a yard sign for their home.

Born and raised in Oswego and a mother of two, Coleman has been an attorney in family court for more than 14 years.

In addition to zealously advocating for children, parents and grandparents in family court, Coleman has prosecuted criminals as an Assistant Oswego County District Attorney and has also served the public as Assistant City Attorney for the city of Oswego and as a staff attorney with Legal Services of Central New York.

She has taught public justice and business law at SUNY Oswego, where she graduated cum laude prior to obtaining her law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law.
