Coleman submits family court judge petitions, launches campaign website

OSWEGO, NY – On Thursday morning (July 24), representatives of family court judge candidate Lou Anne Rucynski Coleman filed her nominating petitions for the November 4 general election.

“We submitted more than double the number of signatures required,” said campaign coordinator Jake Mulcahey, calling the support the campaign has received from the community “enthusiastic.”

Coleman, an Oswego native and an experienced family court attorney, was unanimously endorsed by the Oswego County Democratic Committee last week, and says she has been encouraged by bipartisan support as she travels the county meeting voters.

“I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I’ve gotten from members of all political parties, including independent voters. They understand that family court judge isn’t a political position; it’s about choosing someone who will respect the law, respect the people who come before the court, and rule in the best interest of the children of Oswego County,” she said.

Coleman also launched her campaign website,, this week, and she invites voters to visit for more information about her experience in law and in life, and to sign up to volunteer with her campaign.

“Our campaign is gaining momentum, our team is growing, and we’re focused on making sure that everyone in Oswego County is treated with fairness and respect,” she said.
