FULTON, N.Y. – “You’re as awkward as you think – and that’s okay,” “social media and body image,” and “science demonstrations” – these are the program sessions that 9th and 10th grade girls from Phoenix and Fulton schools will be taking part in during a College Life program.
The ToGetHerThere College Life program is taking place on October 11 from 8:50 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fulton Campus of Cayuga Community College, 11 River Glen Drive.
The program sessions give girls the opportunity to experience college type classes in psychology, social media, and science. Girls will also take a career assessment test and have the opportunity to ask questions of a college panel.
The College Life program is part of the Girl Scouts’ ToGetHerThere initiative. ToGetHerThere is all about empowering girls to do whatever they want to do and be whoever they want to be. By believing in girls, together we can get her there.
