OSWEGO, NY – On May 14, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Oswego County Drug Task Force with assistance from the New York State Police Financial Crimes Unit and Computer Crimes Unit executed search warrants for the residence and person of Dylan C. Soeffing, 21, at 210 Fifth Ave., Apartment # 7, Oswego.
Soeffing is a student at SUNY Oswego and has a home address of 40 Goethals Drive, Greece NY.
Investigators seized 809 illegally possessed prescription Xanax pills, a small amount of marihuana and more than $170,000 in U.S. currency, police said.
It is alleged that Soeffing did illegally possess the Xanax with the intent to sell such and that the seized U.S. currency is proceeds of illegal drug activity.
Soeffing was arrested and criminally charged on May 15, 2015 as follows:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, with intent to sell – Class D Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Soeffing was arranged in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
He was due back in Oswego City Court on today (May 19).
The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
