“We greatly appreciated the turnout we had and the hard work our volunteers did. The garden looks great and is ready for planting!” said OCO Nutrition Services Coordinator Lori Halstead.

Participants will receive free vegetable seeds and members of the Nutrition Collaboration and Cornell Cooperative Extension on hand to provide assistance.

“As an incentive, those that confirm participation in the Community Garden will receive a $20 gift card to Lowe’s Home Improvement,” added Halstead.

Located in John Lincoln Park on Gilbert Street, the Community Garden, which is supported by the Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County and funded by the Rural Health Network, offers community members the opportunity to grow their own vegetables.
