FULTON, N.Y. Ã¢â‚¬â€œ The community is invited to attend FultonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 26. The free meal will be served at State Street United Methodist Church. It is anticipated that 300 people will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner complete with all of the trimmings: turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce, and homemade pie. No reservations are needed.
The dinner is sponsored by several local churches and the Fulton Salvation Army. Volunteers from throughout the community will take part in meal preparations and serving that day. Ã¢â‚¬Å“It is a wonderful community effort,Ã¢â‚¬Â Muriel Allerton, volunteer coordinator explained. Ã¢â‚¬Å“This is a very giving community. We are always so amazed that so many people are willing to share their time and volunteer to help on Thanksgiving Day. Ã¢â‚¬Â
Food and products for the dinner are all provided by local companies and organizations. This yearÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s partners include Plainville Turkey Farm, Birdseye Foods, MimiÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Restaurant, Sysco, HudsonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s, StrupplerÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s, Walmart and Price Chopper.
