‘Thursday Artists’ Scheduled For July, August

OSWEGO, NY – “Thursday Artists” interactive arts activities will be featured at Lakeside Artisans on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. during the farmers’ market for the months of July and August.

“Thursday Artists” activities will be drop-in type with no formal instruction, designed so people can wander in and participate for a short period of time and wander out with something they have made themselves.

Each Thursday a different “Thursday Artists” activity will be featured: July 7 watercolorist Carol Burghart will assist with small watercolor paintings; July 14 will feature Michele Southgate and watercolor monoprints; July 21 Carol Burghart will demonstrate special effects painting with watercolors; and July 28, Southgate will facilitate a paper mosaics activity.

A $2 materials fee will be charged for each participation in a “Thursday Artists” activity.

Lakeside Artisans is an artists’ co-op located in Canal Commons at 193 W. First St.

They are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, until 8 p.m. on Thursday during the farmers’ market, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. missing or outdated ad config
