HANNIBAL – Members of the Hannibal High School acting club, Purple Gallery, are gearing up for upcoming performances of “Alice in Wonderland.”

According to high school music teacher and Purple Gallery adviser Shirley Terrinoni, the play will provide an evening of entertainment and fun for the actors and audience alike.
“It’s filled with so many puns and jokes,” she said. “It will be a night of fun and laughter.”
The play, by Jason Pizzarello, is adapted from the stories of Lewis Carroll and will follow Alice’s journey through a strange land where she must rely on a unique cast of characters to find her way home.
Terrinoni noted that the performance will be especially rewarding for the seniors who will take the stage for a final time with the Purple Gallery.

Senior members include Olivia Mann, as Alice; Taylor McLaughlin, as Tiger-Lilly; Amanda Miano, as the Queen of Hearts; Matt Haskell on technical crew; and foreign exchange student Ganchimeg Bayarsaikhan, as Dormouse and a daisy.
The play is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 31 and April 1 in the high school’s Lockwood Auditorium.
Admission is $5.
