Despite the weather this summer, the kids at the David C. Webb Memorial Park at Taft Bay in Bernhards Bay had fun.

AmeriCorps members Erain Wilcox and Julie Frank helped make this summer a healthy one for the youth attending the Taft Bay summer parks and recreation program.
Some of the favorite activities the children enjoyed were four square, dodgeball, Ninja turtle dodgeball, water games, as well as the many guest speakers and performers.
A special thank you to the four Oswego County Sheriff’s Office members who came out to play dodgeball with the kids.
At the end of the summer, there was a picnic (family day).
This year, we decided to have a carnival.
We used recycle items to make our games. There were many different level games for everyone.

Kids were able to earn prizes and also each receive a cotton candy and a bag of popcorn.
Thanks to our volunteers from the community to man the different games and also with the popcorn machine.
It was a big hit by all the kids, even the older kids.
Erain and Julie would like to thank all of those who volunteered their time or donated board games to make the summer full of fitness and fun.
