Join the Celebration at Selkirk Shores State Park June 27

OSWEGO COUNTY – Selkirk Shores State Park, located at 7101 NYS Rte. 3 in Pulaski, celebrates its grand re-opening with a fun filled day of activities for the whole family! From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 27, join the festivities at the picnic/beach area – and explore the historic park to see the improvements made over the last year.

The Mad River Club will be on site with a learn-to-fish activity for kids and 100 years of Selkirk Shores camping history will be on display for visitors. Other activities include a classic car display, face painting by Cait-Astrophic-Art, balloon creations by Looney Balloonies and freeze-dried candy by Heather Mack.

A dog walk starts at 10:30 a.m. to benefit local animal shelters and rescue organizations. The Oswego County SPCA, Oswego County Humane Society, Helping Hounds, All Creatures Great and Small, and Paws Across Oswego County will be at hand with fun goodies and treats available for sale to benefit their respective organizations. Pet owners are asked to bring a bag of pet food to be donated to a local shelter or rescue and receive a free bandana for their pet.

From 1 to 5 p.m., various food trucks will be available for visitors to purchase lunch while they enjoy music provided by local band, “Kickin’ Up Dust.”

Later, bring your flashlight and join a moonlight hike which begins at 7:30 p.m. at the roadside lot on the way to the beach parking lot.

Day admission will be $7 per car for this event and all season long.
