OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning announces the launch of a new Special Districts Projects webpage on the County’s government website.

The public can go to this new online resource for information about the Southern Oswego County Regional Interceptor Sewer (SOCRIS) project; a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving wastewater treatment for municipalities from the town of Constantia to the city of Fulton.

“The SOCRIS project represents a significant investment in Oswego County’s future,” said Oswego County Legislature Chairman James Weatherup, District 10. “By making this information readily accessible, we are ensuring that residents and stakeholders can better understand the scope, purpose and benefits of this initiative.”

The Special District Projects webpage features detailed descriptions of ongoing and planned sewer projects along with maps that illustrate project locations and service areas.

It is designed to improve transparency, enhance public awareness and keep the community informed about critical infrastructure investments that support economic development and environmental protection.

The online resource also serves as a centralized hub for updates on key initiatives, such as regional wastewater system expansions and improvements aimed at supporting growth, protecting water quality and strengthening long-term infrastructure planning.
