FULTON – Children enrolled in activities at Camp Zerbe in Williamstown have the opportunity to enjoy free breakfasts and lunches courtesy of Oswego County Opportunities Nutrition Services Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
“For the many children who receive free and reduced-price meals at school, summer can lead to fewer breakfasts and lunches, said Nutrition Services Program Manager Allison Griffin. “Once again, we have partnered with U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide free meals to children while school is out for the summer. There are no income requirements. At Camp Zerbe, all children ages 18 and under are invited to enjoy free breakfasts and lunches. Meals will be served onsite where the children can enjoy activities and recreation.”
Camp Zerbe, at 253 State Route 104, Williamstown will be serving breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and Lunch from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. five days a week through August 16th.
“OCO Nutrition Services has sponsored the Summer Food Service Program for the past 14 years and have served over 208,000 meals to children in our communities,” said Nutrition Services Coordinator Lori Halstead. “We are happy to be offering this program again and I encourage families to participate and remember that hunger doesn’t take a vacation.
