PULASKI – The 9th Annual AHOPE (African HIV Orphans: Project Embrace) basketball game will be held on March 16 at Pulaski High School, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and basketball tipoff at 7 p.m.
The annual event will feature an exciting game between the varsity boys’ basketball team and the team comprised of staff and teachers from the Pulaski School District.
The boys’ team is looking for its first win against the powerhouse team of district employees.
In addition to the game, 50/50 tickets, foam fingers, cotton candy and a variety of refreshments will also be available for sale. A half-court shooting contest will be held during halftime of the game.
Last year’s event raised more than $1,600 and coordinators are hoping to best that total this year.
All money raised is used to benefit AHOPE for Children in Ethiopia.
