HANNIBAL – Fairley Elementary School’s third annual Healthy Family Night is expected to draw a crowd of a few hundred people looking for family-friendly health tips and activities.
Hannibal Central School District children and their families are encouraged to attend the free celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. March 14 in the gymnasium, library, cafeteria and select classrooms at the elementary school.
Healthy Family Night will feature dozens of activities coupled with vendor and community organization information to help families jump into healthier lifestyles.
Co-organizers Maggie Olon, Brittany Riesbeck and Geri Seward invite families to visit with therapy dogs form PAWS Across Oswego County and watch Taekwondo, Soul Hooping and Kami’s Kix (dance) performances.
A book fair will be held in the library.
Healthy refreshments will be served.
Door prizes include a Camp Hollis scholarship, New York State Fair tickets, Seabreeze tickets, bowling, movies, bicycles, scooters and Legos, among additional items.
Seward, psychologist at Fairley Elementary, said the event “aims to promote ways for families to have fun in a good, healthy way together.”
