Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School students received awards for academic achievement, perfect attendance and character at an awards ceremony.

Excellence awards for the highest grades in the class and achievement awards for effort, attitude and perseverance were given to students in classes such as English language arts, social studies, math, art, science, physical education and more.
Eighth grade ELA teacher Evan Masterson presented Lara Kinney, Andrew Taylor and Jasmyn Trumble awards for being the strongest writers in the class.
Many students received perfect attendance awards for the fourth quarter and three students received perfect attendance for the entire year:

Benjamin Smith, Joshua Ostrander and Lucas Thomas.
For demonstrating outstanding character, citizenship, kindness and generosity, Matthew Saccone was presented with the Citizenship Award as a tribute for his continual good-natured and compassionate personality.
At the end of the ceremony, the students surprised educational technology teacher James Hewitt and social studies teacher James Watros with retirement cards signed by the entire class.
