Area Students Intern On SUNY Oswego Campus In Spring 2019

OSWEGO, NY — SUNY Oswego students served as interns in a variety of on-campus positions in spring 2019, providing a strong on-the-job learning experience to amplify their coursework.

Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning at Oswego places students in internships and career awareness opportunities that allow them to earn college credits while garnering valuable life experience.

Breonna Rawson of Barnes Street in Phoenix, a senior majoring in biology, interned with the SUNY Oswego Auxiliary Services

Mary M. Buske of County Route 6 in Oswego, a senior majoring in human resource management, interned with the SUNY Oswego Career Services

Nicholas A. Craner of West Fifth Street in Oswego, a senior majoring in public relations, interned with the SUNY Oswego Communication Studies Department

Devin M. Higgins of Franklin Avenue in Oswego, a senior majoring in business administration, interned with the SUNY Oswego Human Resources

Laura E. Godden of County Route 7 in Oswego, a senior majoring in wellness management, interned with the SUNY Oswego Lifestyles Center

Gregory Caster of West Cayuga Street in Oswego, a senior majoring in broadcasting and mass communication, interned with the SUNY Oswego Office of Communications and Marketing

Cassidie Codispoti of Cedarwood Drive in Oswego, a senior majoring in graphic design, interned with the SUNY Oswego Tyler Art Gallery

During the last year, more than a thousand Oswego students took part in experiential learning while working at hundreds of businesses, nonprofit agencies and government offices and on campus in dozens of departments and programs — not counting the hundreds of student teachers working in area schools.

Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive.

U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the top public regional universities in the North for 2019, and the Princeton Review includes Oswego in its 2019 college guidebook “The Best Northeastern Colleges” and in its national list of “Green Colleges.”

A 158-year-old comprehensive college in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls about 8,000 students in its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education.
