OSWEGO, NY – Sophomore Katie O’Gorman’s scholastic award-winning drawing “Acid Cat” has been chosen for the Everson Museum’s select Scholastic Art Awards exhibit.
O’Gorman was one of 22 Oswego High School students who won a total of 43 awards in the Scholastic Art Awards in January.

Their work was on display at Onondaga Community College through February 28.
A select group of the award winning art, including the drawing by O’Gorman, were then chosen to be exhibited at the Everson Museum of Fine Art through early April.
Out of the approximate 800 pieces that were displayed at the Scholastic Arts show this year, only 24 were selected for the Everson exhibition.
O’Gorman’s work was deemed one of the best of the Silver Key and Honorable Mention awards in show.
The Gold Key winning work goes on to be judged at the National level in mid-March.
