FULTON – Assemblyman Will Barclay recently presented Fulton resident and Fulton Common Councilor Larry Macner with an Assembly Resolution honoring him for being selected as the 2017 Veteran of the Year by the Fulton Veterans Council.

Barclay said he was pleased to honor Macner with the resolution, which passed the State Assembly last year.
The resolution, which was presented to Macner in December at a local veterans’ event, details his service to his country and his community.
Macner served in the U.S. Air Force which included six years of active duty.
Following his service in the Air Force, he served in the New York Air National Guard.
Throughout his career, Macner earned several medals and many service ribbons.
In 2016, he was inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans’ Hall of Fame.
