Bishop’s Commons Visits With Mary Poppins Cast

OSWEGO – Residents of Bishop’s Commons were greeted by the fifth and sixth grade cast of the Kingsford Park Elementary School’s musical “Mary Poppins” recently on a trip to the OHS Faust Theatre.

A group of seniors took a trip over to OHS to watch the morning production of the classic P.L. Travers’ tale of the stern, yet loving nanny named Mary Poppins who uses magic to care for the Banks children.

“The children were so good, not nervous a bit!” exclaimed resident Frances Clift who was gleaming for the rest of the day after watching the show.

The musical featured many well known tunes enjoyed by all, including; “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Jolly Holliday,” “Chim-Chim-Cher-ee,” “Let’s go Fly a Kite,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
