FULTON – Mary Beth and Rob Hill were guests at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting and presented a program about Blessings In A Backpack.

Mary Beth and a group of other women started this program four years ago to feed school age children of low/no income families.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fulton is the overseer.
It began with one elementary school and now supports all four elementary schools.
All children in the family receive the food.
Recently, a four-year $4,000 grant was received from the Shineman Foundation which will feed 180 children in the Fulton School District for each of the four years.

The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s.
