BOCES Culinary Students Serve Lunch at Senior Health and Wellness Fair

Hundreds of seniors attended State Senator Patty Ritchie’s Health and Wellness Fair held Wednesday at the Fulton War Memorial.

Oswego County BOCES Culinary Arts students made 200 bag lunches for the event.

Students worked in stations to assemble the ham and turkey sandwiches, some cleaned lettuce while others portioned meat on a deli slicer.

The experience taught students how to serve food both safely and properly.

Second year student Andrew Congdon and first year student Amber Szlamczynski helped to serve seniors their meal.
